Why we exist

Useful skills shouldn't depend on where you start

Technology is changing how people learn and how they work. AI is already part of ordinary jobs — in accounting offices, in small businesses, in the everyday tools people use.

But the learning that prepares someone for that work isn't equally within reach. It often costs money, assumes a certain level of English, or expects a kind of access not everyone has.

RookiGuru exists to close some of that distance. We bring together free, practical courses in the skills that are actually being asked for, taught in more than one language, and built to work on the phone someone already owns.

We are not trying to replace formal education. We are trying to make useful skills easier to start.

RookiGuru was formed as a Texas nonprofit corporation in July 2026. We have applied for federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and are awaiting IRS determination.

A course is only useful if you understand it. Learning in a second language means doing the work twice — once on the subject, and once on the words.

Our courses are available in English, हिन्दी and ગુજરાતી today, and which languages a course offers varies from course to course.

RookiGuru is built so that adding a language means adding a language — not rebuilding the platform. More are on the way.
